The best of 2022 wedding details is here! It is only fitting that I am choosing to showcase details first. It is one of the first categories of folders I deliver in a wedding gallery. Details are also the first thing I usually photograph on a wedding day! I place a heavy emphasis on capturing the moments of a wedding day between people – BUT – I have a huge soft spot for dreamy wedding details. I also love the creative energy I get from photographing details. Photographing details makes me feel like I can better visualize what a final wedding gallery will look like and helps me see how best to capture and showcase the moments to follow.

Blush & Plum Wedding Details

I just love how these blush and plum wedding details came together. The plum invitation suite and big, soft, white flowers really highlighted the romance of the day. Vibrant Purple Wedding Details

Shades of purple were a trend for my couples this year – this one showcased a super vibrant purple. I love how the bright flowers were sprinkled in among the gorgeous white roses. Navy and Orange Wedding Details

Alright so I may be a little biased when it comes to these navy and orange wedding details. If you don’t know – Dave and I are big Mets fans so for our own wedding I put a spin on the classic royal blue and bright orange. These navy and orange details hit me right in the feels because it reminded me so much of my own wedding and I WISH I had been as detailed as Ciera in putting them aside! White and Greenery Wedding Details

Small, intimate, weddings were a big trend for me this year. One of my favorite things to do is to curate wedding details even from the smallest ones. Jeannie and John didn’t have an excess of details but their wedding bands were stunning. Naturally, I love ring shots and their rings lent themselves to some serious stunners. Lavender Wildflower Wedding Details

There was no bride this year who had a greater attention to detail than Jolene! And by greater – I mean explicitly intentional. Her wedding details tied in seamlessly with their wedding day vibe and every other aspect of the day. I love seeing bits and pieces of the wedding day details woven throughout the ceremony, reception, and cake – and not a detail was missed! Light Blue Wedding Details

I love these simple light blue wedding details from Courtney and Bill’s intimate wedding day! This is one of the only times where I did not photograph details at the beginning of my photography coverage. Details are an amazing “nice-to-have” when it comes to wedding photography. I prioritize them but not for the sake of the moments. Wedding details are part of my mental shot list but I am not rigid about photographing them first.
