Fall Wedding at Dewberry Farm NC

Michelle and Micah

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Swick! I am so so excited to share Michelle and Micah’s wedding day on the blog today! Their fall wedding at Dewberry Farm NC was one of the most beautiful days of the year hands down. October just may be my favorite month of the year to photograph weddings!

Michelle and Micah were surrounded by an intimate group of friends and family. I always chuckle when I think about this charming couple. When I met them for their engagement session at the Greensboro Arboretum they told me they were a mature couple who were not experienced in professional photo shoots. I quickly figured out that mature meant they simply had no experience in this area – because these two are a BLAST. They are so not afraid to be silly and sassy and bust a move on the dance floor. They are total naturals in front of the camera and their personalities just SHINE. I love the way Micah looks at Michelle and how comfortable and at ease he makes her feel – no fake laughing here!

Fall Wedding at Dewberry Farm NC

I feel like I have been sleeping on this venue. Dewberry Farm NC is a wedding venue in Kernersville, North Carolina located just outside of Greensboro. Dewberry Farm is a private residence open for weddings, receptions, and rehearsal dinners. On two special occasions the working farm opens to the public for their Spring Tulip Festival and Summer Sunflower Festival. Tulips are one of my FAVORITE flowers and the photos during Tulip season are simply enchanting!

You’ll be able to see so much of what they offer in terms of variety in today’s blog. We spent time in the pasture with the horses, in the restored ceremony barn that houses a vintage truck and tractors. Everything was tastefully decorated and ready for the season which made this Fall Wedding at Dewberry Farm NC that much more magical.

Some of my favorite moments –

  • The intimate ceremony – I loved the small group feel of the most important people in Micah and Michelle’s life. I loved seeing both sides of their family come together to celebrate! Their vows were powerful and touching and a true testament to the beautiful life they are building together.
  • Family photos – Michelle and Micah are blending their family of kiddos and it was so fun to see their personalities shine for their parents on their wedding day!
  • The PARTY – the smallest groups of people always bring the MOST energy and I was so excited to see some really fun reception photos! I’ve got some of the best ones featured on the blog today!

Michelle and Micah – thank you so much for allowing me to capture your special day! It was so much fun getting to know your family and friends and I can’t wait to see where the future takes you!

  1. […] I just love how these blush and plum wedding details came together. The plum invitation suite and big, soft, white flowers really highlighted the romance of the day. I have been trialing a new lens to get these epic ring shots and I think I am sold on investing in it – the ring shots are just stunning! Check out Michelle and Micah’s full wedding day blog here.
