The best of NC Engagements 2022 is here! One of my favorite ways to get to know my couples before their wedding day is to plan out their engagement sessions! For couples who have never been in front of a professional camera before, the experience can be intimidating. Believe me – if you are intimidated or uncomfortable in front of the camera then the first time you’re in front of one should not be on your wedding day!

As an NC Engagement Photographer and wedding photographer I know how important it is to feel comfortable with the person behind the lens (and the lens itself – have you seen those things? They’re HUGE!). I love to plan engagement sessions with my couples that are unique and special to them. The more true to you – the better! Traveling to the mountains, the beach, or your favorite bar is the highlight of engagement sessions for me.

Best of NC Engagements 2022

I am so excited to share the best of NC Engagements on the blog today! There were so many wonderful opportunities to get out and capture some magic! I loved the opportunity to scout new Raleigh Engagement Session locations and even take a beach trip! If you’re looking to travel for your engagement session – I am so down to make a trip out of it!

Casual Bar Engagement Session

Ashleigh and James were so much fun to work with and I am so so excited for their wedding in October 2023! We met up at their favorite local bar in downtown Clayton NC and had a blast! Raleigh Engagement Session

On to Raleigh! One of the most iconic Raleigh Engagement Session locations is Dorothea Dix Park! With a huge field over looking the iconic Raleigh skyline, it is no wonder it is so popular! Popularity aside, Jolene and Ben chose the park due to their sheer proximity and history! Ben works inside the park and they shared several first date picnics on the field overlooking the skyline. I loved the opportunity to explore the park – it is truly very Raleigh. Be sure to check out the full scope of their session on the blog!

Greensboro Engagement Session

If you have followed me for any length of time you know that I love the Greensboro Arboretum. At this point I have photographed two engagement sessions and a wedding at the park! The best part? They are each so unique! While the park is not massive, it has an abundance of hidden spots and gems for photos. I loved meeting Michelle and Micah for their engagement session at the arboretum! We followed the path and found some amazing spots that really blew me away! Check out all the pretties from their session here on the blog!

Summer Engagement Session NC

The NC seasons typically don’t bother me too much. I especially love the cooler fall and mild spring. However, I photographed a LOT of sessions over the summer and let me tell you – it was BRUTAL. I will not be deterred from making beautiful images happen though. For Rebecca and Brandon – we had the HOTTEST day of the summer. It had rained earlier in the day and it was so humid. They were troopers though and their chemistry is amazing! Our engagement session at Little River Park in Zebulon was so much fun and turned out to be one of the most gorgeous sessions in spite of the heat! Spring Engagement Session

The 2022 Engagement Session Season started off with Ciera and Justin! Their fall wedding was one of the most gorgeous I shot all year! NC Beach Engagement

Last, but certainly not least in the Best of NC Engagements 2022 roundup is Taylor and Greg! The NC beaches hold a special place for them and they love spending time there – so naturally that is where we headed for the engagement session! I certainly am not one to complain about a beach trip! The most surprising thing about this session is that the beach was SO crowded! We met around an hour and a half before sunset and there were still so many people on the beach! Fortunately I love a creative crop and you would think we had the whole beach to ourselves! I am so so excited to kick off the 2023 wedding season associate shooting their wedding in March!
