Say hey to Brooke and Alex! I am obsessed with how cute these two are and what a beautiful day we had! Sessions in the summer can be tough but we really lucked out with perfect weather. This summer engagement at Dorothea Dix Park is one of my favorites! Brooke and Alex were actually referred to me by my husband – much to my surprise! Dave is a man of few words so to hear that he was talking me up was such a delight! It was so fun getting to know Brooke and Alex – they’re having their wedding in the Dominican Republic next year! Raleigh brought these two together from Virginia and Tennessee so it only made sense that we head to do their engagement session at Dorothea Dix Park!

Summer Engagement at Dorothea Dix Park

I have had an engagement session at Dorothea Dix Park before – perhaps you remember Jolene and Ben! Every time I photograph in the same location more than once I am always on the lookout for new spots! Dorothea Dix Park is huge so there is no shortage of hidden gems all around the park! I met Brooke and Alex by the grove and we strolled down the path there. I absolutely LOVE how sunny and warm they turned out and we managed to dodge the pick-up frisbee games! Of course we wrapped up our session on the hill overlooking the skyline! You can’t go all the way to Dorothea Dix park and NOT have photos on the hill – so let’s dive in and check out some of my favorites!
