Elizabeth and Kyle

Elizabeth and Kyle had a gorgeous celebrations for their Lavender Oaks Farm Wedding! I loved getting to know the two of them throughout the day with their closest family and friends! They enjoyed a relaxing day getting ready with their respective crews. There is nothing better then when a couple is just so excited to be married that nothing could stand in the way of their joy!

Lavender Oaks Farm Wedding

Lavender Oaks Farm is a beautiful Chapel Hill Wedding Venue! This gorgeous wedding in Chapel Hill is famous for – you guessed it – lavender! The farm has several fields full of gorgeous and fragrant lavender when it is blooming! Not to mention an on-site shop to peruse all things lavender! Elizabeth and Kyle held their ceremony in the sheltered pavilion (and good thing since a thunderstorm rolled through mid-ceremony!) but there are a number of special locations to hold your ceremony. There is definitely no shortage of variety for ceremonies and portraits throughout the day! I especially love the separation of the getting ready suites which makes it so easy to play keep away before the big reveal!

Some highlights of the day

• I would be remiss to neglect the absolute deluge that took place within minutes of starting the ceremony! What is a wedding day without a few curveballs thrown in there? Everyone made it through the processional and under cover before Mother Nature decided she wanted in on this ceremony! Elizabeth and Kyle were just excited to be getting married and their joy was contagious – no thunderstorm was going to dampen their day!
• All their special details – especially their guest gifties! Everyone got a customized insulated wine tumbler to keep their drinks cold! I hear Liz loves her Corksicle! I also loved all of the fun colors they incorporated in their day – wait until you see her boots!
• Golden Hour photos in the lavender field – does it really get any better after a summer storm?
• Their celebration! Once the stormed moved out (as they often do on a hot summer day in NC) they were able to mingle throughout the reception and patio space and hold their sparkler sendoff!
