Annika and Jonathan

Rounding out the May weddings this year is Annika and Jonathan! It was a super soggy Memorial Day weekend this year but that didn’t hold back any of the joy! Rain can be so frustrating but Annika and Jonathan really made the best of it – they were so excited and joyful – it was hard not to radiate their own sunshine! They were married in their church surrounded by their family and friends which included a bi-lingual ceremony to truly blend their families together. With so many in attendance we made sure to capture lots and lots of family who came in for the big day! Their big party kicked off with the wedding at Oakland farm – wait until you see all the FUN!

After the ceremony at their church, we all made the rainy trek to Oakland Farm! Oakland Farm is a beautiful venue and fortunately super rain-friendly! The property is picturesque and has several amazing spots for portraits! There is a large pavilion out back which really helped us capture amazing portraits in natural light! We donned our clear umbrellas too and had some fun in the rain!

Some of my favorite parts of Annika and Jonathan’s Wedding –

• I absolutely adore Annika and Jonathan’s enthusiasm – their excitement to be married and to celebrate their love story was so incredibly joyful. It was easy to smile all day along with them! You can really see it shine through in their photos!
• Jonathan performed a special song with his crew for Annika! It was so sweet! I loved that they carved out special moments of the day like this just for them. This also includes a special rainy portrait session and their last dance! It can be hard to have dedicated couples time but I love that they did these special things together!
• The PARTY. This was one of the most LIT dance floors I have been a part of this season. The dance floor was PACKED and the reception photos are the BEST – seriously what an absolute blast!
