Every now and then I get the opportunity to photograph an intimate wedding. I consider an intimate wedding to be a relatively small crowd and one void of hard and fast wedding traditions. Madison and Nathan’s spring wedding at Caffe Luna in Raleigh fits that bill. A small wedding curated exactly how they wanted is just what I would expect from this adventurous duo! They celebrated their marriage with a short and sweet ceremony with their closest family and friends. It was colorful, joyful, and packed with special moments and details.

This was my first time visiting Caffe Luna in Raleigh and it did not disappoint! It is perfectly suited for a small wedding. I loved the proximity to downtown and the creative challenge of photographing in a busy city!

• I loved how relaxing the day was – from the timeline, getting ready, and kicking off the ceremony – the day was so focused on celebrating what truly mattered the most – Madison and Nathan!
• The personal touches were abundant – their guest book was so unique! In addition to a classic guest book they had a set of oars that they can display in their home signed by all their loved ones! I wasn’t kidding when I said they were adventurous!
• Chatting with their family and friends was such a treat for me! I loved hearing about their lives and their story from their loved ones! It is not always possible to slow down and socialize at those bigger weddings and I truly enjoyed that connection!
