Raleigh Engagement Session

I am so excited to introduce one of my June couples on the blog today! Veronica and Scott are getting married in June at the Angus Barn in Raleigh and I am stoked! The weather in North Carolina has been super favorable for the end of February. The 80 degree days have been such a luxury. Luck would have it that the weekend where I schedule sessions and finally get back into photography season would be chilly and grey! No worries – because we Elsa’ed that ish up and made the best of it! (The cold never bothered ME anyway). We spent the afternoon exploring Lake Crabtree North Carolina and brought the sunshine with us!

Lake Crabtree park is so beautiful! I love the opportunity to explore new parks – for recreation and for photography! This park ticked a lot of boxes for me and I am so grateful that Veronica and Scott suggested it! When they were local to Raleigh they used to run the trails together so they were super familiar with its beauty! The park surrounding Lake Crabtree is full of trails, picnic shelters, and a playground! I especially love the field where we spent most of our time! We walked the natural edges of the field along the lake and even found some beachy sandy spots for some lakeside photos!

Engagement sessions are such a great way to get in front of the camera! Veronica and Scott spent the weekend in the Raleigh area to cross off some wedding-related activities from their home in the DC area! As a photographer, I love engagements because it gives me the opportunity to hear about ALL the things. These two have been together for the better part of a whole decade and are planning a super fun wedding at Angus Barn in June! I love hearing how couples add their own flair to their wedding and I honestly cannot wait for the dessert choices Veronica has up her sleeve!
