Market Hall Raleigh has preserved a lot of the historic and natural charm of the building’s facade. Once an outdoor marketplace, the outside of the building is covered in brick and natural arch elements. It is a huge space inside with tall ceilings and grand ceremony and reception rooms. I would best characterize the Market Hall wedding venue as historic and industrial with all the charm and without the sterile warehouse feel. I love that that the inside of the venue has industrial elements but maintains a chic, modern atmosphere. The cobblestone streets surrounding this venue give it an old-world feel and charm that you won’t find everywhere in downtown Raleigh. The neutral spaces throughout the venue make it easy to personalize every corner of the vast space.

Capacity

One thing that can be hard to find in a downtown Raleigh wedding venue is space. Market Hall is not short on space that is for certain. After finalizing updates to the venue in 2018, the venue debuted two unique spaces. The Park View space and the Market View space make up the whole of Market Hall. With these spaces, combined with the outdoor patio and street rental option, Market Hall can accommodate a huge guest list. The largest space in this venue can accommodate a 350-guest seated reception! If you are going even bigger, they can accommodate a 450-guest cocktail-style reception. So if you are going BIG then Market Hall is going to be the ideal venue for you!

Amenities | Downtown Raleigh Wedding Venue

There are two things that I generally love on a wedding day. One is a relaxed timeline with an abundance of photography coverage so you are not rushing around or feel stressed. The second thing I love is a venue with a huge amount of space. The two dressing suites in Market Hall are spacious and complete with their own private restrooms. In addition, these spacious getting ready areas are tastefully furnished and private. This means you won’t be accidentally running into your soon-to-be spouse and spoiling any surprises! Space can be hard to come by in a downtown Raleigh wedding venue but not here! Another big amenity that I am a fan of is the covered patio that runs along Blake Street. The patio provides an awesome cocktail hour space and ample shade for warmer days. In addition, there are tree lined streets along the Market View entrance which provides a gorgeous backdrop for photos!

Additionally, the rental of Blake Street allows for exclusive access to the street directly from the patio. Couples can rent the space and furnish it with lounge furniture and bar area for their cocktail hour. It is also an awesome length of space for fun exits and getaways at the end of the night! The cobblestone streets truly provide a unique and special element to this trendy downtown Raleigh wedding venue. A Market Hall wedding would be incomplete without utilizing the cobblestone streets in some way shape or form!
