McGuire’s Millrace Farm tucked into the North Carolina mountains was the perfect backdrop for Sara and Dalton’s North Carolina Mountain Wedding. Blending the breathtaking landscape with the rustic elegance of the venue helped to create something magical and unique about their wedding day.
McGuire’s Millrace is a one-of-a-kind wedding venue nestled in the mountains of North Carolina. The lodge is equipped with getting ready suites for both sides of the wedding party and a grand ballroom. Fireplaces and woodwork adorn the space. A double set of stairs leads to a second floor to accommodate even the largest of weddings.
Sara and Dalton were married within the property’s grove of birch trees. The awning of greenery always provides a glowy, ethereal beauty to such a special moment of the wedding. On the opposite side of the twin groves Sara also shared a first look and a special letter with her dad.
No wedding is complete without the inclusion of the couple’s beloved pets. While they were not all able to be fully present, Honey and Maple stole the show with their flower collars down the aisle. Sara even posed with Honey while getting ready.
With a vibrant, timeless edit, Sara and Dalton’s gallery showcases the natural beauty a North Carolina Mountain wedding has to offer. Sara’s vision also included highlighting intimate moments and romantic, moody posing. The golden hour light was stunning to create some magical effects and there is a handful more black and white photos that really capture the emotion and mood of the moment.
It is always such a treat to be able to make the trip out to McGuire’s Millrace for a wedding. It is one of the few venues I will happily travel across North Carolina to photograph! Their in house florist never disappoints and I cannot recommend them enough!
