Say hello to these cuties! My goodness I had the BEST time with Rachel and Josh at their spring engagement at JC Raulston Arboretum. I know I say that about ALL of my couples but this one felt extra special – like we were already the best of friends! When I found about how Josh proposed to Rachel I knew immediately I was supposed to photograph their story. You see – Rachel and I share a very very niche interest: we’re both in love with the old school Nancy Drew PC games! If you know – you KNOW. Rachel has even brought Josh into the Nancy Drew fold and they love to play the games together!

Spring Engagement at JC Raulston Arboretum

An engagement at JC Raulston Arboretum is a solid choice nearly any time of the year. There are so many opportunities for variety throughout the park I just love! It is a pretty popular spot for sessions so I am always looking for new ways to shake it up! Rachel shared that Josh used the Nancy Drew theme to plan a scavenger hunt to propose complete with print outs from the game platform! He used the Raulston Arboretum to hide some clues so we made sure we sought those spots out for photos too! It was so so fun to hear their story while they danced through the gardens and made memories out of the whole experience!
